Bil'in demonstrations continue in defiance of army orders
Bil'in villagers and their supporters plan to send a strong message to the Israeli military that attempts to wall in the village and steal its land will not be tolerated. Last Friday, as people started preparing for Bil'in's weekly peaceful march to the area of confiscated land, the military launched an attack on civilian protesters, firing rubber bullets, tear gas, sound grenades and on at least one verified occasion, live ammunition.

Anti- Apartheid Wall Protest in Jerusalem
Coordinator of the Anti-Wall Public Committee, Khader Al-Dibs, told WAFA reporter that the memorandum includes a call on the US administration to intervene for ending the Israeli practices may lead to "destructive results." It also rejects the Israeli attempts to isolate the Palestinian citizens from their city by the Apartheid Wall.

IDF chief to probe Tul Karm raid that killed five Palestinians
The official IDF announcement described the late-night undercover operation as follows: "Five terrorists from the terror network responsible for the attacks at the Stage club and [Hasharon mall] in Netanya were killed in Tul Karm."

However the material collected by Haaretz and B'Tselem reveals that the three teenage boys killed - Abu Zeina, Mohammed Othman, 17, and Mahmoud Ahadib, 17 - are not known members of any terrorist organization. The two adults killed were low-ranking operatives who did not behave like wanted militants and were unarmed at the time. They were shot by the soldiers at short range

Gaza gunmen kill top Palestinian military aide
His killers fled, taking hostage his son, Manhal. The Palestinian leader vowed that the killing "will not hinder efforts to impose order and the rule of law". Mussa Arafat had been demoted by Abbas earlier this year to the role of advisor, as the Palestinian Authority president sought to make a clean break from his predecessor who died in November.

Parts of northern West Bank settlements to be handed to the P.A
The area which contains the evacuated settlements of Ganim, Kadim, Homesh and Sa-Nur, north of the West Bank used to be called Area C – under full Israeli control – is reportedly to be used by Israel as a bargaining chip in future negotiations.

Soldiers force residents to undress at military roadblock near Jenin
Israeli soldiers forced several residents, on Tuesday evening, to undress after stopping them at a military checkpoint installed near Doutan military camp, east of Arraba village, near the West Bank city of Jenin. The residents were forced to take all of their clothes off, the WAFA news agency reported.

Curfew imposed over Kafer Qaddoum village

Israel holding secret talks with Hamas, Arab states over Gaza synagogues
are holding talks with the Bush administration in an attempt to secure guarantees under which a portion of the U.S. aid to the PA will be conditioned on an undertaking by the Palestinians that the synagogues will not be harmed or desecrated.

Israel will not accept Hamas in Palestinian vote

Hamas tells Israel to stop interfering after vote call
Hamas warned Israel Wednesday not to meddle in Palestinian affairs after Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom said the Jewish state would not tolerate the Islamist movement's participation in legislative elections. "The elections are internal Palestinian issue and the occupiers have no right to interfere," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri told AFP.

Hamas rejects assassination policy
The Islamic Resistance Movement(Hamas) Wednesday denounced the killing of General Mousa Arafat, a retired high-ranking security official, earlier in the day at his home in Gaza City, saying the movement rejects the policy of assassination.

Israel leaning toward Egyptian proposal on Gaza border
Under the terms of the proposal, Egypt will announce the closure of the current border crossing at Rafah for renovations that will last between six and nine months. Once the renovations are completed, the Rafah border crossing will reopen solely for the passage of people, and will be monitored by European border inspectors.Surveillance cameras will also be installed ... allowing Israel to keep track..

Israel to seal Rafah crossing from Thursday until further notice
The officials said the crossing, the only land link between Gaza and the outside world without passing through Israel, would be shut down on Thursday. Palestinian officials said it was a unilateral Israeli move, and they were informed of the decision on Wednesday.

Arab parties could disappear from Knesset unless they unite
Among Arab voters, on the other hand, voter turnout has been declining steadily since 1949. Kiyuf says he thinks that in the next round, it will drop dramatically, to about 50 percent. Peres: 2006 budget could split gov't
Vice Premier Shimon Peres told Haaretz in an interview yesterday that the government would fall apart if changes weren't made in the 2006 State Budget. No Aid for Israel's Gaza 'Disengagement'

No charge for Scot who shot Iraqi
Private Alexander Johnston, also of the KOSB, was in southern Iraq in September 2003 when he accidentally shot a 13-year-old Iraqi boy in the stomach. The 20-year-old, from Shotts, Lanarkshire, was fined £750 and ordered to pay £2,000 to the boy, who was left paralysed from the waist down.
