10-8. TODAY'S ACTIVITIES: POST P1A ON THE P1 BLOG BY 1:30.

MEET AT THE BLANTON BY 2 PM. CHECK IN WITH PROFESSOR DANIELLE GONZALEZ.  BRING equipment: a quarter for the cubby for your backpack, your camera (may be used for most images if set to "no flash" unless expressly prohibited by symbol of crossed-out camera), and your laptop or paper and pencil (no pens allowed) .

After entering go off to the right and put backpack in cubby. Then go to desk in lobby to check in.

[1] Find a work of art on the first floor Franks exhibit that no one else has claimed. Claim this painting for yourself on our Facebook site: 349   One painting per student: stake your claim early.

[2] take detailed notes on a painting, to be shown to Prof. Danielle Gonzalez, outside the museum entrance, between 3:00 and 3:15.

[3] optional: up to twenty-seven points for post to FRANKS EXHIBIT Blog. Include at least one picture of the painting you have chosen and at least one quote, if not one about the painting, at least one from Carroll's works or from our course anthology. Images from the internet may be used but not all paintings can be found on the internet.

    FYI :Mindfulness Meditation Lunch Hour Group:
    A drop-in group for any member of the UT Community to practice mindfulness meditation together. No experience necessary; brief instruction on meditation will be provided.
    Group will meet biweekly on Fridays at 12:10 beginning on Sept. 11. Meetings in Harry Ransom Ctr, 3rd Fl. Tom Lea Room.
