Taming the Internet
The global communicatio=

diversifies its functions in societies. Information has witnessed a quantum
leap from the classic function in the transfer of news coverage and events =

contribution in the re-production of cultural heritage of societies and
contribution in shaping public opinion, leading to the concept of media
development through partnership between media and development in the
dissemination and rooting of concepts and values of humane global civilizat=

importance of this role achieved by the multi-media; it took radio 38 years=

reach the same number of users. Today, with the beginning of Electronic

Founded in 1991, Platinum Inc. has since become a market
leader in software development and network applications. Our goal is simple=

Platinum =

sections of the market. That includes graphic designing and print-out servi=

and
move into the custom application development field. This sector is usually a
management's nightmare because of the difficulties and the implications.
2005
However, by 2005, Platinum Inc. was able to establish a
software development section with a strong reputation of quality and timely
response.
Our range of prod=

To put it in simp=

this is doing The Right Thing.
We've successfully
accomplished large-scale projects for many well-known companies and governm=

entities, such as the Syrian Telecom, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the
UNDP, Bemo Bank and many others. Most of their sites are currently running a
version of our home-brewed CMS, backed and controlled by Platinum Control

Managing Issues:
Why Filtering?
Filtering is a very important feature that protects your
internal environment from a large number of attacks that try to destroy your
business every second, but it should be smart enough to improve your whole =
work
not to just protect it.
That lies in using the=
right
filtering platform that provides the capabilities needed to monitor and con=
trol
a user’s dynamic web-based activities.
Effectively controlling
spyware, peer-to-peer, or instant messaging requires deep content inspection
and a high level of system performance. Controlling spyware, for example, not only requires URL filte=
ring
but also the ability to recognize and block “drive-by” installe=
rs,
scan for known spyware signatures and detects spyware communication attempt=
s. A
URL filtering list alone cannot provide this level of content inspection to=
all
instances of spyware activity. The ThunderCache solution combines a high-performance operating
system on hardware, unique policy architecture with deep content inspection=
and
an integrated proxy cache that stores commonly accessed content. The
ThunderCache solution extends the reach of URL filtering with the performan=

We note that the e-mail
message travels between more than e-mail server network within the General =
IT,
The delayed within the network is about 4-5 hours. We also note that the
arrangement of receiving messages (Received field) on the letterhead of the
letter is not compatible with arranging them chronologically, and we can ex=
pect
that this letter was subjected to manipulation and distortion; also received
additional lines in the banner were deleted.
We must admit that these
remarks are not evidence that the e-mail messages that pass through the Syr=
ian
General Server computer subjected to surveillance, but in return, these rem=
arks
constitute a motive for scrutiny why design e-mail service to the service
provider in this eccentric way, and on the reason of manipulating letterhead
outgoing messages through it.
Here, too, the inabilit=
y of
verifying the existence of selective control of the e-mail had to be recall=
ed. For
example, it cannot be verified that the e-mail which comes from a certain t=
itle
of or up to a certain title via Syrian e-mail servers is copied, checked or
blocked. Nor can verify the credibility of Syrian e-mail servers to preserve
the confidentiality of messages, for example, we cannot verify that the e-m=
ail
server of the communication establishment does not copy the incoming and
outgoing mail and store in some way.
However, several cases =
in
recent years have been recorded of persons have been arrested because of th=
eir E-mail
messages, one of the detainees spoke that his emails were printed by those =
who
arrested him and were also arranged by the date of sending and those who had
sent them =
e-mails.

number, presence and leaving hour at the café, and obligating Intern=

And despite the absence=
of
any extradition of written decision to cafes owners in this regard, however,
the Department of Commerce of Communications establishment requiring those =
who
wish to obtain an internet cafe investment license approval on conditions d=
