El Fadl Book Excerpt (fwd)

Here is a useful excerpt from Khaled El Fadl's latest book - he spoke her
on cmapus last week and is certainly concerned with liberating Islam from
stultified authorities and repressive regimes - and maybe here he will
hint a bit at the potentially constructive role of Islam for civil
society.
