"Pied Beauty," our burnt-orange and white horse was with us for the last ten years of her life. She was about thirty years old when she died. It was heartbreaking to watch her and her companion, General Thom (above), slowly waste away, but their spirits are with us still, as are the spirits of the Holsteins, Norman and Ferdinand.
