"Pied Beauty" Ranch:
Your Jenn's anthology includes a map to my little "ranch" (23 acres). You are welcome to come out and check out the burnt-orange and white horse and longhorns, along with Babe, the giant hog, the two dogs, two cats, foxes, racoons, road runners, other birds, etc. It is only a mile from Lake Travis, with a boat launch, camping facilities, etc. This is a great place to expand your journal.
State Parks
McKinney Falls State Park, just east of Austin
Bastrop State Park, and Buescher State Park, lost pines a little further east.
The Highland Lakes: Inks Lake State Park and Longhorn Caverns State Park

Enchanted Rock State Park, also just west of Austin
And don't forget Hill Country State Park and the Guadelupe State Park
and Kerrville State Park and, up a little north, the Dinosaur State Park.
